The Stud­i­er­enden­werk Siegen endeavors to make its website access­ible in accord­ance with § 3 para­graph 1 of the Behinder­tengleich­s­tel­lungs­ge­setz Nordrhein-West­­­falen (BGG NRW) and the Barri­ere­­freie-Inform­a­­tion­s­­technik-Veror­d­nung Nordrhein-West­­­falen (BITV NRW) in its current version.

The website is not yet fully access­ible. The content is currently under­going a tech­nical revi­sion process.

Stud­i­er­enden­werk Siegen is currently actively working on identi­fying and removing existing barriers. The aim is to imple­ment the require­ments in accord­ance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

– Navig­a­tion and struc­ture: Heading struc­ture, link labels and focus order not yet fully accessible
– Dynamic content: Mobile navig­a­tion and inter­active elements are not yet fully screen reader-optimized

This declar­a­tion was created on June 12, 2025 on the basis of a self-assess­­ment with the support of auto­mated tests (including WAVE from WebAIM).

A new test is planned with the relaunch of the barrier-optim­­ized website.
