Federal programme Sprach-Kitas

Since 1 January 2016, we have been parti­cip­ating in the federal programme ““Sprach-Kitas: Weil Sprache der Schlüssel zur Welt ist”” (Language Kitas: Because Language is the Key to the World) of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. An addi­tional specialist with expertise in the field of language educa­tion supports the pedago­gical staff in the day care centre in the further devel­op­ment of language educa­tion integ­rated into everyday life. The federal programme runs until 30 June 2023. Language skills open up equal educa­tional oppor­tun­ities for all chil­dren from the very begin­ning. Scientific studies show that language educa­tion is partic­u­larly effective when it begins early. Other focal points of the federal programme are inclusive educa­tion and cooper­a­tion with families.
