How and where can I register my child?
You can register your child with our application form (in person, by mail or by telefax). You can find the application form as download here. Please note that you also have to enter your name inKita-Navigator of the city of Siegen under our institution.

What age can children join?
We admit children from the age of four months. They can stay on until they go to school.
Group structures (according to KiBiz)
1 group: 10 children aged four months to two years old
3 groups: 20 children aged two years to children right before going to school
Which time models do we offer?
The Studierendenwerk offers exclusively 45h-care-places, so parents have enough time to study and use the library.
How does the familiarization work?
We are going by the child-oriented Berlin model (approx. 14 days).
Who takes care of my child at the day care centre?
We have 3 pedagogic professionals in each group working full-time (educators, social pedagogues, speech correctionist).
What are the opening hours?
Monday – Thursday from 7:30h to 17:00h.
Friday from 7:30h to 15:00h.
Drop-off: Monday to Friday from 7:30h to 9:00h.
Pick-up: Monday to Thursday from 15:00h to 17:00h, Friday from 14:00h to 15:00h. You can find our closing times here.
How are meals organized?
Your child does not need to bring any meals. The Studierendenwerk Siegen offers a full meal plan. This means that breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack as well as water and unsweetened tea are provided. The meal fees are 86,00 euros per month. You can choose a vegetarian or non-vegetarian option for your child.
Where do the children play, experiment and test?
The children can use the group rooms, the adjacent side rooms and the special areas during the free-play-phases to play and learn. Every group is entitled to use the movement room once a week. The has a large outdoor area with adjacent woods with can be used freely.
With projects are we part of?
The day care centre is a certified “house of little researchers” since July 2012. Additionally to experimenting, testing and research in the groups we off a work group for experimenting once a week for all children from the age of two.
We successfully took part in the federal program “early chances focus day care “language & integration”” from May 2012 to December 2015.
Since January 2016 we are part of the federal program „Language Day Care „Because language is the key to the world““. This program is going end in January 2019.
